A therapist should be a compassionate, neutral party to help you better know and understand what you want, think, and feel. My approach is to provide more support than advice and to listen to both what is said and what is not said.
I am a clinical mental health counselor with training and experience helping people with PTSD, trauma, mood issues, emotional regulation, parenting, religious trauma, and couple/partner issues.
I utilize talk therapy, somatic approaches,
EMDR, and Internal Family Systems. I focus on the bio-psycho-social model, looking at the big picture of everything that impacts a person’s functioning. Every client is different, and therapy should be tailored specifically to each individual.
